Dorothy Mae Howard, age 77, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 14, 1935.

Dorothy, "Dot" attended Central High School with the class of 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. Dorothy worked at FWD Seagraves in the 1950's and Hannigan Memorial Co. in the 1990's. Dorothy was a former member of Grove City Church of the Nazarene and was currently a member of Brown Road Community Church. Dorothy served as Vacation Bible School Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, and Caravan Leader. She was also involved in the Missionary Society and belonged to the Silver Cross Motorcycle Club, co-founded by her late husband. Dorothy loved her grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Edith (Chesser) Green, her loving husband of 58 years, Norman "Pete" Howard, and sisters Carol Green, Donna Boyce, and Angie Porter.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Sherrie) Howard, Ken Howard, Cathy Howard-Newton, and Cindy Jo Howard; grandchildren, Cathy Mae Howard, Kelsey Howard, and Nathan Howard; sisters Karen (Bill) Sharp, Sharon (Gary) Robertson, and Sandy (Dave) Roth; brothers Allen Green, Garry Green, and Larry (Charlotte) Green; brothers in-law David (Virginia) Howard, Lowell (Cindy) Howard, Butch Boyce and Charlie Porter; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be 3-6 PM Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City and 10-11 AM Monday at the Brown Road Community Church, 1553 Brown Road, Columbus, Ohio 43223 where funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Avery Little officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 471 E. Broad St., Suite 1630, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
